Liptovsky Hradok is a small town in the Liptov region of Central Slovakia.

Exit at the 1 train station. Bus station is right next to it, with connections esp. from surrounding cities, like Liptovsky Mikulas.

Being a small town, most of it can be visited by foot in a short time.

- 1 Liptovský Hrádok castle. 10:00-15:00. A reconstructed castle, but old-time dominant of the town. Guided tours of about 30 minutes will show you the history and various parts of the castle and ruins. €3.
- 2 Važecká jaskyňa (Važec cave). A shorter, 530-metre long stalactite limestone cave, open to public. Known for its rich stalactite decoration and cave fauna.

The most favorite summer sports are tennis, soccer, roller skating and the cycling in neighboring forest valleys.
Skiing on the nearby hill is favorite sport in the winter. Ice-skating is also possible on the river Vah.
