  • 1 Hunting Island State Park. This is a barrier island that is adjacent to Fripp Island and St. Helena Island. The entire island is considered to be a state park. There is a lighthouse on the island, but due to Covid, it can be visited only by reservation. There are many walking and biking forest trails. The southern most portion of the park adjoins a lagoon and beach. Mosquitoes are present in the forest trails, so bring bug repellent. Adults $8.
