Heartland of the once-thriving Swedish textile industry, Mark has come to be known as Tygriket - the Textile kingdom. Even if production has largely moved elsewhere, Mark is still a destination to shop for high-quality textiles. Also known for picturesque landscapes, it's a popular getaway for cycling or canoeing along the Viskan river.
Hiking and cycling along the many prepared trails is very popular. Most trails are between 15-50 km long with camping facilities along the way. Canoeing is another popular activity.
