Mashpee is in Massachusetts on Cape Cod. It includes the village of New Seabury. Purchased in 1660 to be a reservation for the Wampanoag tribe and later revoked and incorporated as a town. Until the 1960s, Wampanoags made up the majority of the population.

edit- From Boston take Route 3 south to the Sagamore Bridge and continue on Route 6 to Route 130 which leads to Mashpee.
- From Providence take Interstate Route 195 to 495 and cross the Bourne Bridge. Proceed on Route 28 to Route 151.

- Wakeby Pond, Ryder Conservation Area, John Ewer Rd (South Sandwich). Lifeguards, food, and rest rooms. The Cape's largest freshwater body of water. Parking $10.
