  • [dead link] Finca Neblina Del Bosque. In the brilliant cloud forest of Esteli is environmentally friendly and fully sustainable. The farm is 100% solar and a wood burning and bio-gas kitchen. They harvest their own organic food and have crystal clear water pulled from a bicycle-driven well. In addition there are private cabins, a large bed, warm down comforters, and solar hot showers. Also included in a day are three delicious (many vegetarian options) meals with organic refreshments and homegrown coffee.
  • Posada La Soñada (Bus from Estelí to Yalí at terminal Cotran Norte. Stop at La Rampla. Walk 1.5 km toward the community El Cebollal following signs to Posada La Soñada). Doña Corina's place is a haven of quiet. The home-made food is simply a delight. You can walk on a self-guided trail around the farm and watch colibris. There is even a new tree-house to sleep with the birds at about 8m high. US$17-20 (bunks/cabins) including 3 meals and drinks.
