Monroeville is a city in the Gulf Coast region of Alabama.

Understand edit

Monroeville bears the moniker of "The Literary Capital of Alabama" because, rather incongruously, it was the childhood home of both Harper Lee of To Kill a Mockingbird fame and Truman Capote. In fact, they were even childhood friends.
