Moraga is in Contra Costa County in the Bay Area of California. It is part of the Lafayette-Orinda-Moraga trifecta that locals call Lamorinda.

The town cannot be reached directly from the freeway, with only a handful of roads that connect it to the rest of the world. County Connection bus #106 goes to Moraga from Lafayette and Orinda Bart station and bus #206 just goes from Orinda Bart station. The buses stop all over Moraga and go to St. Mary's College.
