By train edit

Trains on the Oulu-Kajaani line stop in Muhos. Some trains come as far as from Helsinki.

By car edit

Highway 22 between Oulu and Kajaani passes through town. If you're coming from the south along Highway 4, take regional road 827 via Tyrnävä.

There are buses from Oulu (also city buses), Vaala, Utajärvi and Kajaani.

  • 1 Muhos church, Kirkkotie 3. Wooden church with a quite "slim" tower. It was finished in 1634 and is the third oldest wooden church in Finland.

  • 1 Muhoksen Autogrilli, Kellotie 1. Fast food place. In 2021 you could get Finland's largest hamburger meal here, as featured on the Jesse Eats YouTube channel, but as of 2023 it's not on the menu (perhaps available by request).
