Nassfeld is a ski resort in Austria on the border to Italy.

Understand

Nassfeld is popular for skiing in winter as well as hiking in the summer months. The altitude ranges from 1300m to 2000m.

Get in

The airports in Klagenfurt and Ljubljana are both about the same distance from Nassfeld. Travel time approx. one hour by car. Many hotels will arrange pick up by minibus.

Do

In winter:

• Go skiing on the 110km of piste

In summer:

• Go hiking
• Relax and go swimming in Presseger lake

Eat

Most restaurants on the pistes are mediocre.

• Livio (pizzeria/restaurant) (5-10 min walk from the ski piste). Located on the pass road on the Italian side of the border.
