Northern Line Islands

The Northern Line Islands also include Palmyra Atoll and Kingman Reef (which is underwater at high tide), which are U.S. dependencies.

The Central Line Islands of Jarvis Island, Malden and Starbuck, as well as the Southern Line Islands of Caroline, Flint, and Vostok are all uninhabited.

Understand

edit

The Line Islands are in the UTC+14 time zone, the easternmost zone in use anywhere in the world, making them the first places on Earth to start each new calendar day.

Get in

edit

Cassidy International Airport in Kiritimati (CXI IATA) is served only by Fiji Airways on its once-weekly Nadi (Fiji) – Kiritimati – Honolulu (Hawaii) route. Due to the great distance between the Line Islands and the rest of the country, and because the only other operational airports in Kiribati are found in the Gilbert Islands, there are no domestic flights. To reach the Gilbert Islands, travelers must fly via Nadi on Fiji Airways which operates a twice weekly Nadi–Tarawa flight.

This region travel guide to Line Islands is an outline and may need more content. It has a template, but there is not enough information present. If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here. Please plunge forward and help it grow!
