The Nyngan Visitor Information Centre is in the old railway station, and is open every day of the week.

Get in

Nyngan has an all-weather airport, but with no scheduled airline services. The best connection would be via Dubbo and hire a car.

A coach meets the Dubbo XPT from Sydney and heads towards Nyngan. You can catch it the other way towards Broken Hill and Bourke.

However, most people visiting Nyngan will be heading out to or from Western New South Wales by car, where the town is on the A32 route connecting the eastern seaboard with Cobar and Broken Hill.

There are no taxis or any public transport in Nyngan. Plan carefully if you're going to turn up without a car.

  • Helicopter Flood Memorial. Commemorates the 1990 floods which necessitated the evacuation of 2000 people from the town.
  • Rotary Park - A well maintained use park along the Bogan River. Limited number of sheltered tables, map & local information, public toilets, boat ramp with fish cleaning table, riverside pathway dotted with informative signs. The one-way loop road is suitable for caravans.
