Oakland is a town in the Kennebec and Moose River Valleys region of Maine, which is a suburb of Waterville.

If you are coming from I-95, take exit 127 from north and south. (the Oakland / Waterville exit). If coming from the south, take a left and follow the traffic flow, or from the north, take a right. You will be on ME-137, the main road of Oakland (known to localers as KMD- Kennedy Memorial Drive) which links Oakland with Waterville. You will soon see the town sign that shows you are entering Oakland. If you continue through Oakland on 137, you will end up in Smithfield. 137 ends at the Intersection of US-2 in East Mercer. There are also roads linking the towns of Fairfield (Rt. 23), Smithfield (Rt. 137), Belgrade (Rt. 8 or 11), and Sidney (Rt. 23).
