Olargues is a town in the Hérault region of France.

In the beginning of XVII century, Olargues was successively occupied by the Romans, the Vandals and the Visigoths.

In 1629, the "Citadelle" was destroyed by "Cardinal de Richelieu" and there was "the war of Religions" too.

During this century, "Saint-Laurent church" was built in fact you can find some old bulwark of the village like "la porte Neuve", "la porte Gaubert" and "la porte des Pans".
