Panhandle sits on Highway 60 between Amarillo and Pampa. TX-207 connects the city with Borger to the north, and Conway and Claude to the south.

- 1 Carson County Square House Museum, 503 Elsie (Corner of 5th and Elsie (Hwy 207)), ☏ +1 806-537-3524. 14-building complex housing many artifacts from the pioneer days, particularly focusing on the history of the railroad in the area, for which Panhandle was an important stop. A number of macro-artifacts include a preserved pioneer dugout house and an early railroad car. The original square house dates from 1880.
