  • Pattambi Nercha (പട്ടാമ്പി നേർച്ച). February and March. A unique and terrific festival, which is celebrated by all residents of Pattambi harmoniously. It is held in memory of Aloor Valiya Pookunjikoya Thangal, a Muslim saint of Malabar. A grand procession of nearly 100 caparisoned tuskers, colourful floats, traditional orchestras such as 'panchavadyam' and 'thayambaka' and folk art forms are the highlights of the festival. Another attraction is the elephants, beautifully decorated in traditional fashion.
