Putuo

Putuo can refer to a number of places in China:

• Mount Putuo or Putuo Island, an island with a small mountain, a major Buddhist temple and several monasteries on it, near Ningbo in Zhejiang province
• Two other temples named after that one:
  • Southern Putuo Temple, centuries old, in Xiamen in Fujian province
  • Northern Putuo Temple in Jingyuetan National Forest Park in Jilin province
• Putuo District, an area of Shanghai
