Rajpur Sonarpur and Baruipur

Rajpur Sonarpur and Baruipur are two adjacent towns in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, at the southern fringes of Kolkata. It is known for bird sanctuary and ancestral houses of stalwarts like Chintamoni Kar and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Both Rajpur Sonarpur and Baruipur can be easily reached from Kolkata. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Road and the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass (EM Bypass) run over the area.
