Get in

edit

Take any "commun" bus from Asunción to Encarnación (or vice versa) and tell the driver to get out for the city centre or main plaza.

Get around

edit
  • Museo Jesuitico. It's a not too big a museum but the very competent explanations by the attendant make it well worth seeing it. 5.000 Gs.
  • 1 La Arcadia, Iturbe casi San Roque Gonzalez (one block south from main plaza), +595 975 619171. Best in town. Inside walls and ceiling have hand-painted decor since the restaurant is owned by the family of artist Koki Ruiz, who is from San Ignacio. Reasonably priced. $$.
