San Javier (Spain) is a town of some 32,000 inhabitants (2019) in Murcia in the southeast of Spain. Its main claim to fame is the international Jazz Festival held here every year since 1998. The town has also hosted the Spanish Air Force Academy since the 1920s.

editThe local airfield was closed to civilian traffic in 2019 (but it remains open as a military base) and thus you'd have to make use of another airport, the primary airport of the region of Murcia is 1 Aeropuerto Internacional de la Región de Murcia (RMU IATA). Opened in 2019.

editSan Javier does not have train service; the nearest station is 2 Balsicas Mar Menor. Take bus line 70A, B or C from here to get to downtown San Javier or the beaches.
