editNotable for the village is the Hindu temple of Sri Siddhi Vināyaka, the right-tusked incarnation of the elephant God Ganesha as "Masterful Remover". By legend, the temple was built on the spot where Lord Vishnu sought and received the blessing of Siddhi Vināyaka in defeating the Asuras Madhu-Kaitabh, who had been terrorizing the region. The shrine is busy during the festival of Ganesh Jayanti. During Vijayadashami and Somvati Amavasya, it is the site of festivals and plays.
