The town was the first county seat of Snohomish County, and thus one of the oldest non-indigenous settlements in the region. 1st Street has a lot of antique shops, restaurants, bars and little shops. There are buildings from the 1800s, some used to be brothels.

  • 1 Swan's Trail Farms, 7301 Rivershore Rd, +1 425-330-3084. Oct: 10AM-6PM daily, closed rest of year. A fun pick-your-own pumpkin patch and apple orchard. Also has a hay ride, corn maze of the state of Washington and more.

The "Antique Capital of the Northwest" is teeming with antique malls and stores.
