Sobral de Monte Agraço (soo-BRAHL d(ih) MOHN-t(ih) uh-GRAH-soo, /su.ˈbɾaɫ dɨ ˈmõ.tɨ ɐ.ˈgɾa.su/) municipality has 10,156 residents (2011), with 2,900 living in the town itself.

Bus service to Sobral is offered by Boa Viagem on several routes, including the 87 from Lisbon (50 min).

Trains on Comboios de Portugal's Linha do Oeste stop at Pêro Negro, 8 km (5.0 mi) from Sobral. A taxi can take you into town. Other stations in the municipality are Jerumelo, Sapataria, and Zibreira.

Sobral is 45 km (28 mi) from Lisbon via the A8 motorway (Autoestrada do Oeste) to exit 6 to the N248-1 road (45 min).

  • 1 Igreja de São Quintino, Largo Dom Manuel I, Santo Quintino. Sa Su 15:00–17:00 (winter), 15:00–18:00 (summer). This Manueline-style church was built in 1520 and has been a national monument since 1910.
