Wikimedia disambiguation page

There is no major city or part of a city officially called "South Detroit", although the place name appears in "Don't Stop Believin", a 1982 song by Journey - a band from the Bay Area (California). The song nonetheless remains popular at various major league sports stadiums in the motor city, often sung by Red Wing fans at the Joe Louis Arena, and the name is used somewhat humorously to refer to Windsor in Ontario, which is directly south of Detroit (and at one point, was proposed to be called “South Detroit”).
