Southeast Sulawesi is a province in Indonesia, covering the southeastern peninsula of the island of Sulawesi as well as many offshore islands.

editMost of the province of Southeast Sulawesi is mountainous. The provincial capital Kendari is in the east on the coast of Kendari Bay (part of the Banda Sea), and is also the largest city of the province with a population of about 300,000. The only other independent city is Bau-Bau on the island of Buton.
