Talk:Alentejo
Merge
editThis page incorrectly says it is a region in North Central Portugal, but actually the region appears to be split between the top level regions of South Central Portugal (which contains a red link to Alto Alentejo), and Southern Portugal (which contains a link to a skeletal Baixo Alentejo article). The information on this page should be moved to those pages and this page should be made into a disambiguation page. Because the merge tag only allows one destination to be specified, I will put Baixo Alentejo (since the other article doesn´t exist), but the info should be appropriately divided between the two. Do we need subregions?
editI just listed all the city/town articles that even exist for Alentejo, and they are twelve. Many are just stubs. I do not think we need to split them, and a number of redlinks, into subregions (especially as many as five of them). Alentejo is arguably the least-visited region of Portugal anyway, so let us not make it any harder for visitors to explore it by adding layer and layers of empty subregions. If we find the number of destinations excessive either now or at some point, we may do the same thing as for Algarve - split the list using subheadings indicating where within Alentejo the given destination is. This kinda makes my suggestion of making Ribatego a subregion, as voiced in Talk:Portugal, null and voidPrinceGloria (talk) 07:19, 23 August 2014 (UTC).
- Hi again, PrinceGloria. OK, let me re-evaluate then. I want to see how much stuff is out there on pt: that I could translate, maybe that will give me a better idea of how this will develop moving forward. Let's just hold off for the moment and I'll get back to you soon. Thanks! Texugo (talk) 11:17, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
