Talk:Central Russia

Page banner

edit

I don't like the idea of using same page banner (Moscow Kremlin) on four different pages, including Central Russia that has lots of interesting places beyond Moscow and its Kremlin. Same for Moscow Oblast, where a picture of Troitse-Sergieva Lavra (Sergiev Posad) would be more appropriate. --Alexander (talk) 03:16, 1 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. I also don't think it's appropriate that the same banner is used on a country and it's capital city, the two articles which may garner the most attention. James Atalk 04:22, 1 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
I also agree, and think it should be removed from all but one. I'm pretty sure that's the consensus feeling at Wikivoyage talk:Banner Expedition#Same banner used many times. There was some question there regarding places for which not enough images exist, but... Russia?! I think we can find more than one picture for the country. --Peter Talk 06:32, 1 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
I've left it in Moscow, but removed it from the others. --Peter Talk 06:35, 1 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Name of the region

edit

Is this deviation from geographical common sense supported by English-language sources sufficiently? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 06:18, 31 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

There need not be any sources for geographical regions at Wikivoyage, see Wikivoyage:Geographical_hierarchy. --Alexander (talk) 09:44, 31 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
