Talk:Clarkes Court Bay
I suggest deleting this article. Clarkes Court Bay is just a bay, not a region, Grenada has several bays on its south coast and Clarkes Court is certainly not notable among them. There is basicly nothing there for tourists. Yes there is a marina there, but thats about it.
- Well it looks like this has been created as a region, not a body of water. So that's in line with our Project:What's an article? policy. The usual rule-of-thumb is 'can you sleep there'... and I'm not sure if a marina counts or not. Technically, travellers could be docking at the marina as a place to sleep. Having stuff for tourists or being notable isn't really a criteria, but being a "destination" (as we define that), is... (WT-en) Maj 21:30, 12 September 2006 (EDT)
- Well if this is legitimate article then you could create half a dozen one line articles that are similar. If you want to keep it it would make far more sense to make a general article about the south coast bays of Grenada. As for docking at the marina as a place to sleep, sure you would be in the bay, but technically you would be in Grand Anse Valley or Mt Hartmans (there is some confusion as to the actual area the marina is in). Its also worth noting that most locals know the bay as Woburn Bay, though yachties refer to it as Clarkes Court. The only reason this article is here in the first place is because the user who created it was trying to advertise their buisness via wiki travel (see the grenada article and my comment in the talk section where I removed their buisnesses entry). The article wouldnt exist if this guy wasnt trying to advertise, and since his yacht never seems to have made it to clarkes court bay the whole intension of creating the article is lost. - Since you want to keep it I edited it to at least be correct. Though it still seems awfully backwards to me.(WT-en) Russeasby 19:50, 13 September 2006 (EDT)
