Talk:Euronat
Hmmm... so should we treat nudist camps like ski resorts? i.e. a destination in their own right? I'd buy it, but I just wanted there to be some chit-chat since it's something new... (WT-en) Majnoona 21:24, 11 Nov 2004 (EST)
- I'd say yeah, it's like a ski resort. But do ski resorts get articles of their own? For example, Mammoth Mountain is a ski resort, but we attach it to the City of Mammoth Lakes because there's other places to stay in the area. On the other hand, I suppose everyone visiting this particular resort will be staying at this resort.... but that kinda makes for a slippery slope where every spa, dude ranch, and nudist camp gets it's own article. -- (WT-en) Colin 21:49, 11 Nov 2004 (EST)
- I wrote the article because Euronat is one of the best example for family naturism in Europe. Ten thousand people can stay there at one time, and the stay for some days, some weeks or a whole season. Our family has stayed there eight times. In addition, giving particular resorts their own chapter has the great advantage that you can make up different kinds of indices, not only by region but also by category, by travel routes etc. Believe me, I have tried out different structures for my (German) Barefoot Park page [1], and since I made up different pages for each resort it is frequently cited in newspapers, magazines and tv-productions.
On a completely different note.... does the attached picture serve any function not fullfilled by the phrase "a nudist camp on beach"? If I were going to a Spa at a beach, I'd druther see a picture of the whole beach, or an overview of the facilities to get a feel for what the place will be like to live at. The current image doesn't actually illustrate anything to me. -- (WT-en) Colin 21:49, 11 Nov 2004 (EST)
- You are right, I took the pic off. My scanner broke down, so I haven't got better one at present :-((
