I believe WikiTravel is big enough to completely include the contents of a hiking book such as the one referenced in this article. I wrote this node because my party was disappointed at the amount of information in the book and I'm going to invite them to add to it, so I'd appreciate if you leave it as a separate node for the time being. The ones I've talked to have already discussed adding a picture and map. Also, it's 6km *up*, the ridge itself is significantly longer: we only went one day in. -- (WT-en) Vagary

If you wish to propose a different standard for this, the place to raise the issue is Project:What is an article?. The level of detail regarding this hike makes me wonder if perhaps there is a need for a WikiHiking website devoted to details of the topic. I could certainly see how tips like elevation gain, water availablity, hazards, and so forth could fill an entire useful site. Additionally, there are a number of stuff you formatted with [[double brackets]] which will never be articles here (e.g. a Mine, a Lake). Since this article has not been updated in over a month I've changed this back to a redirect and folded the info into Strathcona Provincial Park. If the information about trails in the park ever becomes unwieldy then it can again be split up, but neither article is currently more than a stub so let's combine for now. -- (WT-en) Wrh2 03:04, 1 Aug 2005 (EDT)

Sleep?

Thanks to the RFC I've taken a look and it appears that this article does not meet the can you sleep there? test. So what we need to figure out is how to incorporate this info into the parent article. -- (WT-en) Mark 20:47, 28 Jun 2005 (EDT)

There are a number of campsites along the Ridge, so of course you can sleep there. Clearly there is some arbitrary scope boundary for itineraries, can someone help me figure out what it is? -- (WT-en) Vagary
