Copy-paste content

Hi all, I noticed there is a lot of identical content on the Glendalough page and the official tourist website of Glendalough, some of it was introduced for example in this edit from 2009. I don't know who copied from whom, although it seems that the official tourist website already had that content even before 2009 (see archive.org). Content removed from hostel listing

I removed the following content from the hostel listing:

The county of Wicklow, just south of Dublin is known as the Garden of Ireland. Central Wicklow is a mass of domed granite mountains, penetrated by deep glens and wooded valleys containing some of the finest scenery in Ireland. To the west, the mountains give way to gentler country on the edge of the central plain. Staying in Glendalough for a night or two is a great way to forget about the hustle & bustle of everyday life and just relax. The county is rich in history and culture, with five heritage gardens and many archaeological and historical remains.

Update

In Aug 2020 this page was overhauled, along with the rest of the county, so there shouldn't now be any text copied from a non-W source. The page was already well-developed but was trying to describe the entire county, so that's been relocated, or deleted if it was useless guff. Like, Glendalough does tennis the way Palm Springs does medieval monasteries. Grahamsands (talk) 11:01, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
