Name edit

This is actually known as the "Great North Woods" region, and signs indicating so are also posted in French - "Grands Bois Du Nord" - see http://www.flickr.com/photos/sikaranista/5069075359/ for example. —The preceding comment was added by 50.75.166.85 (talkcontribs)

It appears you are correct; the user who established the regions likely omitted the word accidentally and no one has noticed until now. (WT-en) LtPowers 17:08, 24 July 2012 (EDT)

Dixville Notch edit

Dixville Notch is an unincorporated village within Dixville Township. Dixville seems to be a community that is hard to figure a placement for. There isn't really a community to see here just an Old historic Grand Hotel that's falling apart, and Dixville Notch State Park. I've been thinking that maybe Dixville Township or Dixville Notch State Park would be better placed in the Other Destinations Sub Heading as opposed Dixville Notch in the cities category. I don't know if anyone else has thoughts on this I felt like it was something to discuss first before just making that change. Shadar86 (talk) 14:36, 15 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

For a bit more clarification The village almost actually lost it's status to vote early due to it's almost non existence as a community by having only 4 people living in it at the time. The current owner of the Balsams changed his residency so the village could have the required 5 residents to keep the early voting tradition a thing.
