Talk:Gubbio
Sources for information
editI don't have time to put in information right now, but it's a bit embarrassing that there's nothing here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gubbio and links therefrom have relevant information on main sights. I can't recall at the moment which church toward the west side of the city has the great intarsial work. I'm also forgetting the name of the church that I had to take a seggiovia (chair lift, except that I was standing, so it was probably called something else) up to. Pleasant church, had nice stained glass.
No sights in Gubbio were by themselves as spectacular as any of the greatest sights in a place like Siena, which is bigger, nor the Duomo in Orvieto, but all of them and the city itself combined are well worth a visit, for those who have the time and are in the general vicinity.
