Talk:Hailougou Glacier Park
I changed the title of the park from 'Hailougou Valley Glacier Park' to 'Hailougou Glacier Park' (海螺溝冰川公園). The character 溝 (gou) is generally translated as a ditch or channel, and so could conceivably be used for 'valley'. However, as 'gou' (溝) is included in the transliteration of the name 'Hailougou, I think it unnecessary to repeat the title valley in English. Alternatively, of course, we could change the title to 'Hailou Valley Glacier Park', but I think that is not a good option as it would be difficult for locals to grasp the meaning. Anyway, in the absence of an official English name for the park I propose using 'Hailougou Glacier Park.' I hope that is acceptable to the original contributor and others. Thanks.
