Talk:La Paz (disambiguation)
The "most famous" question
editI'd consider the capital of Bolivia to qualify easily for the "so much more famous" clause in the disambiguation policy, but another user (also working on Mexico's La Paz) changed the redirect to the disambiguation page instead. Any other opinions? I'm inclined to change it back, but won't hurt to ask around first.... - (WT-en) D. Guillaime 23:41, 18 January 2010 (EST)
- Although I agree with your reasoning, the volume of visitors to each destination, makes me think a disamb might be the way to go. --(WT-en) inas 00:13, 19 January 2010 (EST)
- I hadn't even heard of the Mexican one. We had a discussion going recently suggesting that a pretty clear objective rule of thumb would be to give national capitals and major metropolises preference. La Paz is both of those. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 10:25, 19 January 2010 (EST)
Move La Paz (Bolivia) to La Paz
editThe stunning capital of Bolivia seems like a straightforward candidate to be moved to La Paz. I think it pretty easily passes the "much more famous" rule, and besides, we are just using a redirect for that page anyway. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 23:38, 21 September 2011 (EDT)
- I agree. --(WT-en) globe-trotter 02:29, 22 September 2011 (EDT)
- Absolutely much more famous than all the others. (WT-en) Justme 04:41, 22 September 2011 (EDT)
- Fully agreed. I keep coming across cases like this one, and must get around to proposing similar changes.--(WT-en) burmesedays 08:05, 22 September 2011 (EDT)
