There's a not half bad writeup in the local fish wrap, but it's from 2009: http://www.recorder.ca/2009/08/01/shop-sup-or-sip-merrickvilles-the-place
There's also http://www.merrickvilleartists.com/wheretoshop.htm which has some local listings.
What looks to have changed:
- http://www.canaltripping.com has started renting bicycles
- 142 Rideau B&B's owners look to have retired in 2013, per http://www.bbcanada.com/11642.html
- Grotto Artworks moved to 110 Main Street in 2012
- David Paterson, one of the two local glassblowers, is now in Alexandria at http://www.glassblowingplace.com
- Wood-N-Feathers is *not* still around, can't find a website for them as http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/f38/found-new-supplier-ontario-13948/ lists wood-n-feathers.com which expired recently. (update: The telephone number is out of service. Removed the listing.)
- samjakesinn.com just returns linkspam, apparently it closed in the 2009 recession per http://www2.canada.com/ottawacitizen/columnists/story.html?id=31946386-062e-4912-a2b9-d384281ace35 and used to look like http://www.inn-and-a-round.com/sam-jakes-inn.htm
- merrickvillespa.ca is also gone from the web K7L (talk) 01:46, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Do you mean the text was copied from an original article in a local newspaper? I guess you know that is against policy.. Andrewssi2 (talk) 01:55, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- No. The newspaper list is worth looking at to see if there are any venues we missed, but even then it's badly dated. K7L (talk) 22:01, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
