So, I'm from California, where we have a Sebastopol in Sonoma County. I wonder: is "Sevastopol" really the most common English name for this place in the Crimea? --(WT-en) Evan 12:26, 31 Jan 2006 (EST)

The interchangeability of v (or w) and b is found in many languages. William - Bill. This should not be seen religiously.

The new train over the Kerch bridge might offer another connection than air. It needs to be noted that travel insurances (health) were not valid for Crimea visits. As these things are in flux that might be changed and the latest status should be ascertained. Is there free healthcare and/or transport back to Moscow in the case of an accident? Can one buy an insurance module? Due to the military presence there should be a full service which foreign tourists might access? My buddies went in 2017 and still rave about it. Some were Russian speakers but those who weren't loaded a yandex translation service on their phones and that worked well.

"Sevastopol Crimea" outsearches "Sebastopol Crimea" on google by 2:1. The first four results from the latter are Crimean-war or British Military links -- i.e. 19th Century references. Even Sebastopol calls the Crimean city Sevastopol [1]. -- (WT-en) Colin 21:00, 31 Jan 2006 (EST)
