This article uses the Template:quickbar that should be reserved for countries. Even the location map is drawn like the ones for independent countries. Instead this one should be used: Image:Trentino-Alto Adige-Posizione.png. The quickbar was designed for sovereign countries that administer their own foreign affairs (or at least field their own national football teams), not for regions of larger countries just because they have a degree of local autonomy and separate identity. As long as the immigration/visa requirements, the currency, etc. are identical and there is no international border between South Tyrol and the rest of Italy, we should not mislead the traveler into thinking otherwise by dressing the article to look that way. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 00:06, 8 June 2007 (EDT)

Redirected from "Dolomites"

By any standard definition the mountain range named the Dolomites lies equally in Trentino-Alto Adige and in Veneto. It absolutely does not simply comprise of the area of Sued Tirol, this would be like redirecting "Alps" to the article on Austria. This redirect is incorrect and like the quickbar possibly politically motivated which doesn't help users looking for info (or to contribute as I wanted to) on the Dolomites in general.
