Some of the place names here have been translated literally into English. I expect that in reality travelers use the Japanese as-is for many of these locations. For example, even if the latter part of "Hiinosekimon" means "stone gates", presumably travelers would still say "Hiinosekinomon", not "Hii Stone Gates". This varies from site to site, though, so if anyone with experience traveling through Tahara has a chance, could you adjust the translations according to what you hear? --Douglaspperkins (talk) 11:33, 7 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
