I'm not convinced the VLA passes the "you can sleep there" test as a destination. It's already mentioned in the Socorro article, and since Socorro is the nearest practical place to sleep, that strikes me as enough. Let's discuss. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 22:52, 25 Dec 2005 (EST)

Where to stick it?

Ok, there actually is already an entry on the Socorro get out... and I noticed that in this article their is mention of a closer town Magdalena which has at least some services. I'm thinking maybe it belongs in the Magdalena guide with just an entry for Magdalena noting it's the closest town to the VLA on the Socorro guide. Comments? Interesting point. Magdalena is a tiny little thing with an absolute bare minimum of stuff for the traveler, but after all, it is the closest town to VLA, and VLA is worth seeing -- if not a destination. Maj, this is my neck of the woods; let me see if I can craft a sensible article.
