- Keep. I think this has the potential to be an awesome itinerary. I'll try to work on something, though, I will be working a lot this weekend and de: is about to hit a fairly important milestone. -- (WT-en) Sapphire • (Talk) • 18:59, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

Beggar Infested?
editI lived for one year in Washington DC and it is NOT infested with beggars. They do exist, but it is not surprising at all. Whoever says this, hasn't clearly been or even remotely heard of any place in the third world. —The preceding comment was added by (WT-en) 201.233.136.87 (talk • contribs)
- Agreed, that's an extreme statement. Please feel free to plunge forward and make it better yourself! But please also try to keep the tone lively. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 01:46, 14 January 2008 (EST)
Climate error!
editThe article states that during winter, "Temperatures in D.C. are cold but seldom below freezing". This is NOT TRUE! For three months of the year (Dec-Feb) the average low temperature is below freezing. Average low temp in: Jan - 24 deg; Feb - 26 deg; Dec - 28 deg. These are stats for the downtown area (20002 zip code); higher elevations and the NW portion of the District can be quite a bit colder. If anyone relies upon this incorrect 'seldom below freezing' assertion they may end up more than a little chilly. I would like to correct this portion of the article but I'm afraid someone will freak out and erase my contributions. What to do? - (WT-en) Michael 3000 23:29, 9 March 2010 (EST)
- How many nights in a normal Dec to Feb period does it freeze in DC? That would be the key to determining whether "seldom" is the correct description. I know from experience that averages can (not always) be misleading due to outliers. If that all stacks up against "seldom", then please go ahead and change it. There are a few other things wrong with this itinerary which I have just spotted and will put right.--(WT-en) Burmesedays 23:59, 9 March 2010 (EST)
