Remove "experimental"?

edit

Since this template is included in the Destinations article that is linked from the left nav it seems safe to remove the "experimental" tag. Any objections? -- Ryan • (talk) • 19:57, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I expected objections or at least criticism of the Destinations page itself, but it seems it was pretty uncontroversial. I'll remove it, and restore it if someone chimes in here right after I do! --Peter Talk 08:36, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Documentation

edit

Moved from Template talk:Africaimagemap

How is this template to be used? Some documentation would be nice. • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 17:00, 17 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is just used by inserting {{africaimagemap}} to Africa#Regions, and nowhere else, really. It's used not for the purpose of standards across articles, but rather to hide code. I've been thinking of moving all such imagemap templates to subpages of Template:Worldimagemap. Then we could put some basic documentation on that page to make it clear what we are using these for. Does that sound reasonable? --Peter Talk 22:31, 20 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
That should work, or you could transclude documentation to each of the templates from a common documentation page, which might be more flexible and simpler in the long run, and would allow for additional specific documentation if anyone ever found it desirable. Not that much documentation is needed for this function. Whichever you find easier... • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 07:06, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
I have done a mix of the two suggestions. Is it OK if I move this discussion to Template talk:Worldimagemap? --Peter Talk 18:13, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
No problem at all if you think it is a better place for it. • • • Peter (Southwood) (talk): 18:47, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Return to "Worldimagemap" page.
