• 1 Mudd Tavern historical marker, 6317 Patriot Hwy (US-1). Before it was known as Thornburg, much of the area was reffered to as Mudd Tavern and Thornsburg. Famous for being the death site of American Civil War, Confederate lieutenant general Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson.
