Two Rivers is a very picturesque small town off the beaten path and located between the East Twin and the West Twin rivers on Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Green Bay in Northeast Wisconsin. It was settled in the 17th century by French Canadian fishermen. Fishing became a major source of income and many of the fishermen's houses can be seen along the banks of the East Twin where it flows into Lake Michigan. This gives the town a quaint and scenic character today. Here "small town America" is expressed in many old New England-type clapboard houses all around town which can best be discovered by walking or on a bicycle. Lake Michigan embraces this old American settlement lapping at far-reaching beaches extending north to Point Beach along beautiful dunes, Pine forests and fields that inspire you to want to paint. Known for creating the first Ice Cream Sundae Two Rivers is nestled among many beautiful old farms where you can buy fresh produce, smell mown hay and fish in the rivers in Summer. Winter on the Lake brings a whole new scenery with Chickadees and Mule deer; it challenges you to ice fishing and Nordic skiing and rewards you with a hot drink, a warm meal and chat with the friendly people who live there.
