Velipoja is in Shkodra. Velipoja is a coastal village with a curative sand shore and excellent bathing waters. The beach is long and wide, and a lot of hotels offer nice rooms. However, the beaches are crowded in August.

By Taxi/Furgon: Furgons (or minivan taxis) run year around from neighboring city Shkodra to Velipoja. Furgon rides between Velipoja and Shkodra costs 200 Lek and take approximately xx-x minutes. The locations for furgons drop-offs and pick-ups are throughout the city of Shkodra and in the main square in Velipoja. Furgons are the most common form of transportation in the area and are easy to locate as they drive through the city from morning till night.

The accommodations are spread out from the southern to the northern parts of the city, and they also range in price. The hotels fill up with guests during the summer months when thousands pour in to visit the Adriatic coast.
