While there are several separate articles on major airlines, many more aren't worth a separate articles, but travelers still find useful to share tips and experience on them.

We follow few principles in maintaining this travel topic:

• only national carriers and airlines with 20+ routes qualify
• no low-costs here (instead contribute to Discount airlines in Europe, Discount airlines in Asia, Discount airlines in Africa, Cheap airline travel in North America)
• before splitting content into a new article, discuss first to gain consensus
• exclude flight routes, aircraft numbers as they change daily and it's infeasible to maintain up-to-date with existing number of regular contributors
