Edzell consists of a single, main high-street and a few side roads. You can easily traverse the entirety of Edzell on foot during a lunch break. The main draw for a visit is the riverside walk.
See edit
- Edzell arch - include history/why it exists
- Edzell Castle and Gardens
- Shaking Bridge
- River Esk - mention the walk alongside it?
Do edit
- Blue door walk
- Fish
- Swim (snorkeling was recommended by a local)
- Edzell Golf Club. Open to visitors and can book tee times online. Offers 9 and 18 hole courses (check wording on how golf works. Is it courses? or like... 9 hole game?)

- 1 Sinclair's Larder, 63 High St. Café with varieties of sandwiches (hot and cold), coffee, tea, and other items. Has a good breakfast menu. Cozy/quaint. Light décor (white walls, light wood floors, plenty of plants and large windows let light in).
- 2 Panmure Arms Hotel Restaraunt. That one inn at the edge of town. Traditional food selection (lots of potatoes, meats with gravies in either pie form or by themselves. Soup, salad, etc. Find concrete prices, but remember it being more on the expensive side).
- The blue something butcher shop. (Has lots of cold pies/sausage rolls, seasonal fruit and general picnic items).
- The Tuck Inn. The little café place that has the icecream (does take out)
