Germany is in the centre of Europe and is the political and economic powerhouse of the continent. Germany is culturally and historically diverse.

Understand edit

Germany has an excellent infrastructure that runs pretty much strict to timetables. If you understand the way Deutsche Bahn and German airlines operate then you can make tremendous use of the good connections throughout the whole country. For this itinerary the use trains are essentiell as the connection between city centres are best by train. The best offer for that is the German rail pass. Some parts might be faster by plane, this will be pointed out if this is the case

Preparation edit

Some sights, like the visit of the Reichstag in Berlin require an advance reservation. This requires a valid passport for non-German citizens (photo ID for German citizens) and should be done at least two weeks in advance (during holidays at least three weeks) to insure access at the amount of visitors is limited.
