Philadelphia International Airport (PHL IATA) is a major international airport. It serves Philadelphia and is the prime airport of the Delaware Valley.
Understand
editThe airport had a decent amout of service, but it was only after deregulation in 1978 that it really took off. With the development of a US Airways hub in the 1980s and 1990s came sustained international service. After American inherited the hub, the airport went through fast growth, albeit with concerns about the infrastructure reaching its limit.
