The former Carthusian monastery was established in 1380, and dissolved in the late 18th century under the reign of Joseph II. The cloister was demolished, but other buildings in the complex remain and are open to the public. These include the church, a small museum dedicated to the history of the Carthusian monastic order, a garden, and a forge and small mineral museum. Church: free; museum: €5 (adults), €4 (seniors/students), €3 (children); meditation garden: €2 (adults), free (children); forge and mineral display by guided tour only (in German).
