By public transport edit

For a rural area the Boso Peninsula is covered by surprisingly good public transport options. Trains regularly circumnavigate the coast while the interior is covered by trains infrequently. Depending on where your destination is you may need to hail a taxi from the station though buses also serve most tourist destinations.
